My name is Annalise, and I started this book blog in 2017 after perusing countless others while arranging blog tours for my Author employer at the time (namely, my mother). I love to read books and have been immersed in the literary world for years. I started this blog chiefly for two reasons:

First, because I love books and hope to spread the news about every unique and fascinating novel out there, not just those books with big publishers and even bigger marketing budgets.

Second, because I know how difficult it is to be an author without a big marketing plan or with a controversial book. I hope to help foster unique and at times, risky stories when reader, reviewer, and publisher censorship is at an all time high. It’s risky to not follow the basic, tried and true format of a mainstream book, and I applaud all those writers out there who are taking chances with their writing, despite the backlash they might receive as a result.

In an About Me page, one is supposed to write some facts about themselves. So here are 5 informational non sequiturs.

1.I’m named after Anne Frank (Her full name was Annelies Marie Frank. Betcha didn’t know that).

2. I’m a certified level two archery instructor, which means I’m officially allowed to teach my own archery classes with no supervision. Their mistake.

3. I’ve played competitive chess at the national level (BTW I was in the category for lower ranked individuals).

4. I saw snowfall for the first time when I was 18. How pathetic is that?

5. I’m a member of the local Sheriff’s Search and Rescue team which makes fact number four even more pathetic.

Thank you for visiting my blog.
